The operation targets members of the Red Command criminal faction involved in a wave of murders in Palmas during the first half of 2023. Four arrest warrants were issued against executors and members of the organization's leadership, including leaders known as “Lust” (or LX) and “Blind Rooster.” “Blind Rooster” had already been captured in early February this year in Morro do Vidigal, in Rio de Janeiro. One of the executors who was on the motorcycle was arrested in the Jardim Aureny III sector. The suspects' names were not disclosed, and g1 was unable to contact their defense.
Swiss prosecutors have expanded the investigation into the fire at a ski resort bar that killed 41 people, most of them teenagers. The mayor of the tourist city of Crans-Montana, Nicolas Feraud, has been added to the list of suspects according to a prosecutors' document obtained by Reuters. A 28-year-old man was arrested after identifying himself as a member of a criminal faction and beating a 10-year-old child suspected of an act analogous to attempted robbery at Praia de Iracema in Fortaleza on Sunday (8). Witnesses recorded the man slapping the boy and stating the area was controlled by Comando Vermelho (Red Command, a major Brazilian criminal organization originating from Rio de Janeiro prisons), reprimanding the child for stealing in the region.
