A cold front is advancing and expected to bring another week of rain to the Vale do Paraíba region. On Monday (9), rain has already been recorded in various cities, with Ubatuba recording the highest rainfall accumulation in São Paulo state since Sunday night (8) at 118 millimeters, according to the São Paulo Civil Defense. The National Institute for Space Research (INPE, Brazil's space research agency) reports via Rede Vanguarda that the cold front will remain over the region at least until Wednesday (11). São Paulo's North Coast cities, such as Ubatuba, will be the most affected. Despite the name, the cold front is not expected to bring cold temperatures, with forecasts ranging between 15°C and 23°C in main Vale do Paraíba municipalities.
